chapter 11

Chapter 11 started out ok then it really got disturbing! It starts off with Maya talking about St. Louis. It sounds like she relly dosent care for it that much. She said that she decided that St. Louis was a foreign country. She couldn't get used to things like the scurrying sounds of flushing toilets, packaged foods, doorbells etc. Maya's mother was anurse and made extra money cutting poker games in gambling parlors. And Mr. Freeman always would wait for mama. She would come in and kiss him on the lips, kiss the children and asked about their homework. Mr. Freeman liked when mama came over to sit on his lap because a grin would always stay there. But even though he had mama Mr Freeman started to mess with Maya to. One morning when Maya woke up on her moms bed she felt a strange feeling on her left leg. Which happened to be his private part. As he got up hepulled Maya to him and put his hands between his legs. And Maya didn't mind cause it didn't hurt. He even rthrew the covers off and showed his thing. Maya said his thing stood up like a brown ear of corn. Then Mr. Freeman told Maya to feel it! She said it felt mushy and squirmy. So then he rushed off to the bathroom and there was a big wet spot on the bed. So bbasically Mr. Freman was messing with and raping a confused child who thought that he was being nice when he put her on his lap and was touching her. Sadly though this was an experience to which mmany girls go through. And it's a shame that it happened even in those early times!
